Marbella will have a pilot project with free wifi in four areas
Marbella Town Hall has announced the launch this summer of a pilot project to install free wifi in four iconic parts of town such as the Plaza de Los Naranjos , La Fontanilla , La Plaza de la Iglesia de San Pedro Alcantara and Square Antonio Banderas in Puerto Banus. This initiative is part of the development as a smart, sustainable and healthy city.
The mayor, Angeles Muñoz , has said that Marbella “should be valued as a smart, sustainable and healthy city ” and pointed out that the town has been incorporated into the “Network of Spanish Cities for Climate” and Smart Cities Network following the criteria Marbella 2022 program.
She also stressed as an example of healthy municipality that Marbella has been chosen by the World Health Organization (WHO ) between 2008 and 2012 as the city of the peninsula with the best air quality, only surpassed in Spain by Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Arrecife.
